Chef Omar is a two-time James Beard finalist for Best Chef - Great Lakes and the creative force behind Detroit's modern Moroccan bistro. Saffron De Twah has garnered numerous accolades, including James Beard Award Semi-Finalist for Best New Restaurant, Eater Detroit's Restaurant of the Year, and a top spot in Detroit Free Press' Best Restaurants list.

As a member of the World Central Kitchen's Chef Corps, he has provided meal relief internationally. Locally, his Saffron Community Kitchen initiative has served over 110,000 meals since 2020.
